“Every client’s needs are different,” says Michaele, noting Vicki prefers hands-on participation. “I wanted to look, hunt, and see for myself,” Vicki explained with a smile. The two searched high and low for the most authentic materials, like the reclaimed hardwood floors that were made in the 1920s at a nearby mill.
They replaced all of the hardware with age-accurate pieces, scoured the inventory at an architectural salvage store for vintage doorknobs, and incorporated cherished family heirlooms—such as an armoire crafted by Harrison’s great-grandfather—into the décor. Neutral-hued walls and soft blue accents combine with beautiful artwork and accessories to create a comfortable and serene retreat.
