If you’re looking for home design inspiration, look no further than The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market. Come early July, the city is packed with designers and vendors from across the globe, all bringing their best new trends for the year in home design and more. Our team had the opportunity to spend some time perusing the market, and fell in love with some new trends and products and revitalized our passion for ones we’ve known. Get inspired by a few of our favorite cottage style trends:

Old-World Elements
Rustic wooden cutting boards are great, but pairing their natural beauty with sleek, contemporary style elements is even better. Kitchen products like the ones from etúHOME (brought to you by the folks at Europe2You) combine the warmth of wooden tones with glossy black surfaces for a stunning culinary experience.

Creative Lighting
Beaded chandeliers are still beautiful, but a creative lighting fixture can both brighten up a space and act as a statement piece in itself. Companies like Carroll by Design are incorporating materials like leather, rope, and rough-hewn wooden beams into their industrial-chic designs for eye-catching levels of interest.

Vibrant Colors
The beauty of white walls and neutral spaces notwithstanding, color is making a comeback. From funky throw pillows to vibrant hand-thrown pottery, there are plenty of new options for welcoming bold and bright colors back into your home. If you’re not a fan of vibrant hues, though, don’t fear—pastels also made a huge appearance at the show.
