The Yeagers keep their holiday décor festive yet simple, with handfuls of traditional elements. The den highlights a classic red-and-green-themed tree and a limestone fireplace festooned with seasonal shine while a grand snow-flocked tree decked in sparkling baubles and owls greets all who enter. “My style is very comfortable and inviting,” Monica says. “This house is just easy to live in.”
With two grown daughters, the Yeagers’ holiday style has definitely changed over the years. “Christmas is all about family and family coming home—being together,” Monica says. “I just like my house to feel very festive for the holidays and highly decorated.”
With a holiday homecoming, the kitchen is the obvious gathering place for the family. The kitchen’s European blue-tiled island is the perfect spot for creating sweet memories as the Yeagers prep food for their Christmas Eve dinner and again on Christmas morning. “All the baking is done around that island,” Monica shares, noting that she loves having a house large enough to host a lot of people.
The Yeagers agree the best thing about their home during the holidays is having their family together. Smart design and thoughtful décor make a welcoming retreat that embodies the spirit of the season.
