For years Sigrid has practiced yoga and credits it and meditation for replenishing her creativity. “I felt there was a correlation between relaxing and quieting the mind and being creative,’’ she says. Wanting to share this idea with other women Sigrid began Creative Well-Being Retreats. “My retreats are designed around the philosophy that cultivating spiritual and creative practices is the best way to nourish the soul. I choose the most beautiful natural surroundings, serve lovely healthy food, and provide a safe, uplifting, friendly, and fun environment for people to simply be themselves,” she says. Art also plays a big role in the retreats. “It’s not about creating a masterpiece,” she says, “but using the creative process to rediscover your uninhibited joyful self—like when you were a kid.”
