A recent move to Sarasota, Florida, had Sigrid finding a new home where she could incorporate her art studio. Living on a canal surrounded by palm trees and only minutes from the beach, the beauty and serenity of her surroundings inspire her. It is here she is reviving her early love of painting and printmaking. “My newest paintings are more textural, incorporating the same imagery inspired from nature, with a spiritual element,” she says, noting they are meant to be uplifting and calming.
If you are familiar with Sigrid’s work in clothing, paintings, or ceramics, you will recognize her signature color palette. It’s both colorful and soothing, a unique combination. For each piece she likes to use a variety of hues from the same color family.
