TCJ: Your home is full of such gorgeous greenery, but you claim to have a black thumb! What’s your secret?
EK: It’s all faux! Oh my word, I can’t keep a plant alive to save my life, but someday—someday—I shall learn these skills. Mark my word. Until then, I fill up my home with realistic and whimsical greenery and faux florals from Hobby Lobby and Michaels!
TCJ: Obviously, we’re huge fans of your home style. Where are your favorite places to shop?
EK: My favorite shops are the antique stores I go pickin’ at locally. Nothing beats stumbling upon a vintage treasure that is unique and full of history. Bonus points if you can find out the story behind the piece from the seller! For new items, I’m all, “Here Target, just take my money already, gah.” So . . . Target. And I also shop Hobby Lobby and Home Goods!
