In the kitchen, Carol combined the contemporary style of open shelving with the storage capacity of traditional cabinetry to create a beautiful blend of fun and function. Carol’s loft-like vision continues here, but rather than an exposed-brick wall one might find in the city, she chose to integrate texture with mother–of–pearl tile. Complemented by contemporary dark cabinets and bamboo flooring throughout, the tiles add a sense of whimsy to the space.
