
Limoncello Sorbet
Makes 6 servings
2 cups water
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon lemon zest
⅔ cup fresh lemon juice
¾ cup limoncello (Italian lemon liquor)
Garnish: lemon slices
1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups water, sugar, and lemon zest and juice to a boil over high heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Let cool completely. Add limoncello, and pour mixture into an ice cream maker.
2. Freeze according to manufacturer’s instructions. Transfer mixture to an airtight container, and freeze overnight before serving. Garnish with lemon, if desired.
