For additional color and interest, the Hortons chose artwork—much of which was created by local artists—to complete the look. “Because we were fortunate to meet these talented people as well, their work became more personal to us,” Judy points out. “It was crucial that our decisions reinforced the feeling of calm that Richard and Gary so wonderfully established in our home.” In keeping with this emphasis on art, the decorators selected a coffee-bean hue for the interior window trim so that the city views beyond resemble framed paintings.
