The history and lore of Mason Cash pottery is as charming as its iconic cookware. The company’s beginnings can be traced back to England in 1800, when master potters in the tiny British village of Church Gresley established a pottery. In early days, among the more colorful of the potters was a man called “Bossy” Mason, whose name still stands on the company’s logo. In 1901, Tom Cash bought the 100-year-old pottery and renamed it Mason Cash & Co. It was at this time that the company designed and began producing the first Mason Cash mixing bowl that was destined to launch a love affair with cooks across the country and beyond that continues to this day.
