Collector Louise Plott started acquiring these letter openers about eight years ago when she got into the antiques business. “I am picky about which ones I buy, because at this point something has to be very special about it for me to fall in love with it. I know where each one came from, even the ones that have been gifts,” she says. When asked which is her favorite, she points out the silver opener with the cross she bought in England in 2012.
