“Ramshackle is how I would describe it,” Gregor explains,“but we decided we still wanted to buy it.” It was owned by a theatre company and had originally been an actor’s cottage. During the 1940s the Ogunquit Playhouse was a young summer theatre with actors like Bette Davis and Montgomery Cliff trying out plays before the productions would hopefully head to Broadway.
