We’re barely into the new year, and the web is already a slew of new design inspiration. With resurrections of old trends, updated mixes on current crazes, and a few style ideas sticking around from 2017, we’re expecting this year to be filled with bold patterns and vibrant hues. While we aren’t saying goodbye to the bright white farmhouse kitchens we’ve come to love, we’re simply saying hello (and welcome back) to homes filled with exciting pops of rich, moody colors and to a fresh energy brought by vibrant prints and bold patterns.
Mixed Metals
There’s no reason to stick to one metal when designing a room. The key to mixing metals is the same to mixing a color palette: you must have balance. Incorporate metals into your design just like you would with neutrals like Style Me Pretty did with this living room. Offset colors and textures with a balance of brass, nickel, copper, bronze, and iron sprinkled throughout your space.
