The result of their hard work is “an old aesthetic with new amenities,” Emily says. Leaning on a professional background in interior design, she knew her three-bedroom, three-bathroom abode would be a blank canvas for rustic style.


What makes the cabin feel like home, though, is its personal touches. “I have a real love for art, especially when I have a connection to its maker,” Emily reveals. The painting of the three little lambs over the sleigh bed was a collaboration from two family friends.

“Guests are always fascinated to hear about the history of this home,” Emily says. “Of course, we have no way of knowing if our stories are real.” But all of the might-be-true stories play their part in adding the ambience of rich history felt throughout the cozy cabin.
