The love of color and textiles has Barbara Randle constantly exploring and creating with fabric.

Barbara Randle attributes her love for textiles and sewing to her grandmother. The neatly folded stacks and rolls of fabrics fascinated Barbara even before she learned to sew. This interest eventually led to quilting. “I always loved the look of quilting, especially crazy quilts,” she says. With her can-do attitude she not only learned the how-tos of quilting, but she also wrote two books about it, Crazy Quilting with Attitude and More Crazy Quilting with Attitude, both published by Krause Publications. This modern take on an old art form had readers around the country wanting to learn Barbara’s techniques. So she taught classes on making crazy quilt purses and classes for decorative items for the home, including pillows, lampshades, and even window treatments.
