Design the Flow of Your Home with Guests in Mind

Masterfully furnished and appointed by Richard Tubb and fellow interior decorator Gary Olivieri, the home flows in a seamless progression of airy, relaxed refinement. “Because Judy’s house benefits from great views of the city’s skyline, Gary and I didn’t want any one piece of furniture or accessory to steal the attention,” Richard explains. So, they stuck to a clever strategy of selecting major items like sofas and armchairs in solid fabrics and smaller objects, such as cushions, in patterns. The designing duo also created intimate furniture arrangements within more spacious rooms so that the homeowners’ guests could better mix and mingle.
