Bloomsbury Farm

Lauren was still living and working in Nashville, so Teresa embarked on the country-style renovation with the idea of using the house for guests and entertaining. After gutting the structure, she extended the exterior walls to enclose the carport and laundry room, creating a large eat-in kitchen and a dual-purpose pantry-mudroom. The central part of the house encompasses a spacious living and dining room with vaulted ceilings. Where a plain front door and porch had been, she added a gabled entrance in the foyer. A new garage at one end of the long rectangle combines with bedrooms and baths at the other end to fill out the cross-shaped floor plan.
